100 WORD CHALLENGE#JACK PROMPT WEEK 14

We were out at sea for about sixteen days before we were raided by terrorists.

We could see a big boat on the horizon; we didn’t take much notice of it. After eight minutes or so we found out that the boat was coming closer to us every second, we were all getting scared and very worried.

They came on to our boat and they took everything. Motor, jewellery, food, water, technology and everything we had. We tried to fight back at them but they were just too strong.

They were just about to leave when we heard the boat…

100 Word Challenge- Prompt #14

The day started out as a normal New York day, with my mother telling me “You’re going to be late for school and you know how Nueton feels when your late”. ”I KNOW, I KNOW”, I groaned getting sluggishly out of bed.  I get dressed and head towards the door where I would then get to the subway where we would catch the seven-thirty train and head to school. So I went down stairs and crossed the street to the closest subway entrance were Nueton was waiting for m. Towards the station we saw the poster for the new blockbuster movie Shipwrecked III..

As Bradley and Christopher where just about to go fishing, Bradley’s phone rang. (Bring, bring) “Hello, it’s Bradley.” “Hey it’s Alec, come down to the beach and see this boat wreck.” “Ok, Christopher and I will be there soon.”
When Bradley and Christopher got there, Alec wasn’t there, it was just some really creepy guy standing on the boat. As Bradley and Christopher turned around, there were all different people that they didn’t know. When they turned to see if the creepy guy was there, the first thing that they saw was, Alec strapped to a chair on the boat

100 Word Challenge - promt#14 Maggie

The big new ship was about to get going, an old lady jumped in front of the captain. She said to him, “I know a really beautiful place that everyone would love. Let me take us there please!” The captain was convinced so he let the old lady sit next to the captain in the steering area.

They came to a hill of rocks; the captain wasn’t convinced anymore. The captain was looking at the rocks and noticed that nearly all of them were moving towards the boat. Where is this old lady taking us? Thought the Captain.

BOOM! CRASH!

“Good morning and welcome to Early Bird News. A mysterious shipwreck was found on the coast of Tasmania. It was found on the 14th of September and is what appears to be a pirate ship  that has crashed on a popular beach. The police are at the scene and said that the fingerprints on the boat were not actually human fingerprints! It appeared that a giant mother squid came and must of thrown the boat onto the beach because the Pirates were apparently spilling oil into the ocean.” “The squid is being tracked down because it is clearly a dangerous squid ready to kill.”

“Sergeant we need to get out of this rip. ASAP!” yelled Collet as she was trying to steer the wheel for Collets brand new ship. The rip got harder to steer. Night fell quickly. The ship was still in the rip. No one was on board to help. Sergeant tried to steer but it was just too hard. “I see land!“ yelled Collet as Sergeant was trying to steer to the land. CRASH! The ship started to fill up with water. Collet was nowhere. But that was 114 years ago. The ship is still at the Sydney Harbor port Australia.

The bridge
Once, between 1963 and1965 beavers made a dam that was stopping the river from flowing. The government said to make a bridge across the river. They made it when a person thought that the dam that the beavers made was a bridge. He went across it and then it fall down . Then the water came rushing down the river. When all of the people were yelling help and the water was going so fast that the water broke the bridge in half and then the people that were on that side tried to run off the bridge then.the end.

As the army carrier went across the bridge. I was watching closely when I heard  a gun shot ring  though the valley.  Then the truck blew up. It was covered in flames. I could see the bridge was collapsing. Soliders were poring out the truck, then the bridge collapsed with the men and truck with it. I couldn’t hear because of all the commotion. A week passed and the wreckage was deep under water, but there was still a lot of talk going on plus I found out my uncle was on the truck which was sad for our family.

The bridge Nathan prompt#3

Gun shots filled my ears. All I could see was a group of random people firing lots of bullets in the air and all the tourists were running and screaming. All I was trying to do was find my parents when I was grabbed by a tall dark man and taken to the other side of the bridge. My mum and dad were screaming at the terrorists to give me back, I was so scared. As I turned around to see what the terrorists were doing there was a big bang and that's when I knew it was all over.

The Bombing On The Bridge! Jack Prompt#3

All my mind was set on was to get to the finish line first. There were at least 1500 people running around Avignon in France. The winning prize if you came first was you get 650 dollars.

When the race started we all sprinted away from the starting line which made most of the contestants buggered straight away. When I  was about half way I was coming about 7th over all, I was getting really tired but I still was determined to get first prize.

I was coming 2nd with about 900m left and I was on the bridge.......BANG.

100 word challenge. Ruby. Prompt 3.

The street alarm went off. I ran outside of the apartment to see what was happening, I couldn't believe my eyes. A massive bomb had crashed into the new bridge. I started crying. My heart stopped for a beat and it all just went blank, I couldn't see anything...

I woke up in hospital the next morning and the doctor asked for the money but I didn't know what it's for. I said to the doctor that I left my wallet at my apartment then ran. He pulled out his gun and tried to shoot me but he missed me.

100 word challenge prompt #3

The morning came. I ran to the bridge to see it finished for the first time. I walked along the path. I could see the bridge. I started to walk along it. I noticed it hadn't been finished. I waited 25 months for this bridge to be finished. I screamed then jumped off the bridge. I couldn't breath. Something was holding me down. I remembered the day the bridge started to get built. I heard someone scream ' ah a girl is drowning.' I went down deeper and deeper. I don't remember anything. P.s I lived. I'm telling a story.

It was hard to sleep, so I had to go to the bridge. As I reached the bridge I saw a girl my age, she was sitting on the edge of the bridge. Her black hair fell perfectly as she turned to face me. She looked in distress, " I can't control it, someone has taken over my body. I have to destroy the bridge or the person or the thing won't go, you have to leave." I was too scared to answer so I ran home. I hid under the covers and then I heard the boom of the bridge.

DARK SHADOW 100 WC

They stared knowing that one person will need to fall. No one wanted to lose their life. They slowly walked as their dark shadows cast along the end of the bridge. It led to someone’s death. The group of girls and boys ducked low as wreckage flew over them. The truck flew over the top of them and they knew what would happen. They shut our eyes to make sure they couldn’t see.

The wreckage was too much. The end of the bridge collapsed. Screaming filled the air, and when they looked back to the group, a girl was missing.

Gallipoli Book Review by Nathan Beattie

Gallipoli  is a book about the war this story is written by Alan Tucker. It is part of the My Australian   Story series.

If you were going to read it, I would suggest you buy it for a teenager or an older person because it could be a bit upsetting or a bit full-on.

The reason why you should get this book is because it has a very good story line. It is fiction and it also has no-fiction included in the story. If  you like war, death and sadness it would be a good book for you.

If I was going to rate this story, I would rate this book a 7/10 because at the start it took a long time to get interesting, but when it got into the story it was a very good book

HIDDEN- Book Review. By Jack

This story is written by Marcel Prins and Peter Henk Steenhuis.

Hidden is a book that has 14 true stories about different people based on survival during the Holocaust because they were Jewish.

If you were to buy the book for someone for their birthday or Christmas, I would get it for someone over 12 years because it is all about how people survived the Holocaust and it might be pretty hard for people younger than 12 because some of the words are quite hard and could be quiet confronting for some people.

If I were to rate the book out of 10 I would rate it at a 10 because it is very interesting to read and it is good because there are 14 different true stories.

The Firm

The Firm is written by John Grisham. A man goes for a job at one of the law and tax firms. He checked all the firms and went for job interviews but he was still not sure which firm to work for. Finally he chose a job straight away after a job interview and knew this was a great deal and a good job. Mitch and his wife would move to a town closer to the small firm and the firm will loan money to them so they could  buy a house.

Mitch (the main character) would get paid two hundred and fifty thousand dollars a year and the longer he worked for the company, the more money he would get and the more discounts. They offered him a job that he should have said no to. Soon people start dying at his work and he is being tracked but he doesn’t know it. What will happen?

I rate this book seven out of ten. I think this book is great and the middle of it is great. It is very exciting in most parts but not in others.

I think people should read this book if they  like mysteries and that are aged in between ten and fourteen years of age. If they like lawyers and fiction books they will love this book.

Vegemite Review

Vegemite is a dark brown spread; it can be used many ways such as a filling for sandwiches. It was made in1922 by Cyril P. Callister in Melbourne, Victoria.

My opinion of vegemite is that it’s a plain and boring filling. But it’s fine. I get sick of it later if I’ve used it too many times. I give vegemite a rating of 6 out of 10.

I recommend vegemite for mothers and for children’s sandwiches. It gives bread a bit more of a kick.

Gilbert Netball Revew. Ruby

Gilbert Netball

Gilbert Netballs are the best netball you can get. The Vixens use Gilbert netballs when they’re versing different teams. Gilbert netballs were invented by William Gilbert in 1823 and the netballs are called Gilbert netballs because William’s last name was Gilbert.

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/510mDRSUmoL._SX300_.jpgGilbert netballs are good because if you are giving it to a friend or child you can order them in a different type so it can match them, because they might not like plain white netballs.

I would give Gilbert Netballs a 5 out of 5. Every girl in our class likes Gilbert balls and the boys don’t really, because there aren’t any footballs.

Gilbert balls were made for Netball and Rugby. I would highly recommend that you get a Gilbert ball for you or your child, they’re very similar to Kukri netballs but not as grippy.
